The sea temperature in Grad Korčula is very similar to the sea temperature in Orebić, since Orebić is less than 6 miles away from the Grad Korčula. The sea temperature in the Grad Korčula gradually increases from the beginning of spring, and the favorable weather of the southern Adriatic ensures that the sea temperature in the Grad Korčula already rises to favorable temperatures for swimming and other water activities by May. The sea temperature in the Grad Korčula is conditioned by the number of sunny hours, tides, currents, amount of rainfall and, to a lesser extent, wind. The Grad Korčula is located in two relatively shallow bays which allow the sea to warm up quickly. The sea temperature in the Grad Korčula is similar to the sea temperature in Dalmatia and, on average, slightly lower than the sea temperature in Vela Luka which is located on the other side of the island of Korčula. Therefore, it is interesting that the average sea temperature on the island of Korčula is often different from both places on the island of Korčula where the sea temperature is measured and monitored – Vela Luka and the Grad Korčula.
The temperature is perfect for swimming for all ages.
