Sea temperature - Postira

The temperature of the sea in Postira on the island of Brač is mostly determined by the wind and the number of sunny hours in the year. The wind blowing from the mainland to the sea often mixes the heated surface sea and the cold deep sea, thus easily cooling the sea temperature in Postira. Despite this, the sea temperature in Postira throughout the summer is suitable for swimming and does not drop below 20 degrees Celsius. The highest values of sea temperature in Postira are achieved during the summer months of June, July and August. The sea temperature in Postira is similar to the sea temperature in Supetar, and can be lower than the sea temperature in Bol and the sea temperature in Milna, which are located on the other side of the island of Brač.
