Sea temperature - Funtana

The sea temperature in Funtana is identical to the sea temperature in Poreč and the sea temperature in Vrsar due to the close proximity of Funtana to these two settlements and very similar to the average sea temperature on the Istrian peninsula. The sea temperature in Funtana is determined by the amount of wind that mixes the warm surface sea with the cold deep sea, the amount of sunshine hours and the amount of precipitation. The sea temperature in Funtana rises sharply from April and by the beginning of June it is possible to swim in Funtana. The highest sea temperatures in Funtana are measured during the summer, mainly in July and August.
