
The sea temperature in Trpanj is suitable for swimming during all summer months, but in exceptionally favorable years even from the end of May until October. The sea temperature in Trpanj is determined by the number of sunny hours in the year, as well as the wind and sea changes. Located on the eastern side of the Pelješac peninsula, Trpanj is relatively sheltered from the wind, and the shallow sea is able to warm up quickly. The sea temperature in Trpanj is often different than the sea temperature in Orebić, which is located on the western side of the Pelješac peninsula, but is similar to the average sea temperature on the Pelješac peninsula and the sea temperature in Dalmatia.
It is not recommended to swim because the sea temperature is very low, especially for heart patients and other patients.
In April, you can swim in several places. The most popular beach is Žuljana beach, located on the eastern part of the town. Additionally, you can swim at Banje beach, located on the western part of the town. There is also Pod Duba beach, located on the northern part of the town. All of these beaches are sandy or pebbly and ideal for families with children.
